Asphalt Paving In Los Angeles California

This month Empire Parking Lot Services was chosen as the preferred paving contractor for a property manager in Los Angeles, California. This paving project was located in Los Angeles, a shopping center that was in bad need of some asphalt overlays, and even a few areas that needed the asphalt to be removed and replaced completely.  Once the customer outlined what they needed, we quickly got a crew out there to get this paving contract executed.  The job itself took all day but when the smoke cleared we had installed nearly 100 tons of new hotmix asphalt.  The customer was very pleased as where the shop owners that got a face-lift on the parking lot near their businesses.

Asphalt Contractor Equipment Needed

To get this paving job done we needed to bring out several pieces of asphalt paving equipment. Included in the list of needed equipment was the following, an asphalt saw was needed to saw-cut the pavement areas designated for removal. Then we used a back hoe with an attachment to break the freshly saw cut asphalt areas out and ready them for disposal. After the back hoe was done breaking the asphalt we used it to load the dump trucks and ship it off to the dump. Next we brought in our skip loader to move asphalt around the job. A skip loader is used for this purpose because it can do the work of ten men in half the time. After the asphalt was distributed throughout the project we used a 5 ton vibratory roller to compact the fresh asphalt and ready it for traffic.
